And similar to the offensive side, we're going to talk about what this unit needs to do before Texas A&M comes rolling into town on September 13th. Here's the downside. We don't get to watch Notre Dame play football on Saturday, and we're going to kind of have to live with their loss of Miami for an extra week.

Snakes.

Here's the bright side.

A lot of the things that we're talking about,

they have more than just an extra game week of prep to get ready for a top 20 opponent.

So in that light, it's a good place to be.

But look, man, defensively, it's been a hot topic of conversation, understandably so.

First year defensive coordinator.

There are some schematic changes that everybody was very, very quick to point out.

But overall, it was a good performance, like I talked about.

Miami average, you know,

6.6 yards of pass, 4.7 yards of play, 3.1 yards of carry. But there are some things within the game that, you know, there were there are some chinks in the armor. And there were some

things that showed. They were good enough at times.

Good enough at times. But in the time where it mattered the most, Brian, they fell a little

short. And there's some things that they have to get corrected this week. Yeah, I mean,

Trevor, you played a team that had the number one scoring offense in the country last year.

And you held them to 27 points, and that included one short field field goal,

and you gave up 324 yards of offense, which isn't terrible.

You averaged 4.7 yards per play.

So technically, Notre Dame actually averaged more yards per play than Miami did,

because Notre Dame had the two of the bigger plays of the game.

Actually, I think Notre Dame had the two longest plays of the game.
