We are talking Notre Dame defense versus the Texas A&M offense.

And similar to our conversation when it was Notre Dame's offense versus Texas A&M's

defense, this is one of those where it's not as clear if this is strength on strength

or weakness versus weakness.

I think this is one of those matchups where, again, two talented sides of the ball,

but who, you know, what is the real Texas A&M offense?

Because their sample size against UTSA and Utah State was good, but putting up numbers

against inferior, significantly inferior opponents.

With Notre Dame's defense, they have a new defensive coordinator with Chris Ash,

and the first performance wasn't all that great in certain areas.

And so this is one where I don't know, again, if we can really deem it a clear-cut,

strength on strength or weak versus weak or strength versus weakness type of deal.

This is a, this is going to be a really, really intriguing matchup to watch unfold on Saturday.

If we had talked about this before the season, I'd have said, boy, this is going to be a great matchup.

Man, you've got the Notre Dame defense against the Texas A&M run game and this big

offensive line and this this deep backfield, which I think you and I ranked in the top, both had in the top four

coming in the season. And boy, I can't wait for this. But now you look at it, Trevor, and you're like,

I don't know about this Notre Dame defense.

And the thing that's most impressed me about Texan and M so far early seasons, their ability to throw football outside. Like, complete opposite of what I thought this matchup was going to be coming into the season. That doesn't mean that they can't run the ball in their offensive line is not impressive. if it's just more about, okay, A&M's got a little bit, something extra to it.
