We just got done talking about the offense and kind of our gut reactions. We're going to spin it across the other side of the football and talk a little defense.

And what we saw from the defense, this is coordinator Chris Ash's first attempt as

Notre Dame's defensive coordinator.

And I will say it probably could have gone a little bit better, Trevor.

Yeah. Yeah, I agree.

I mean, look, this was the side that really fired me up

because there were some things identity-wise that I did not love.

Schematically, look, there are some things that I just have to look at and I can't wait to go back and dive into the film.

But there are just some things schematically that it's like, okay, look, this is his first time calling a defense in college in five years.

And it's Notre Dame's first time implementing it in a game.

There are just, that's, I mean, even Corey Heatherman, who I thought called a heck of a game

tonight, that even happened when they released Eli Raritan and he had that long play.

So like issues will happen.

Where a lot of my issues lied was with the identity of what this defense was doing.

But I'll get into that in a little bit.

What went right, Bubacar Treyore's back.

There are some questions around what's his workload going to look like,

and is he going to be able to take on a full workload of being a starting defensive end?
