Overall thoughts on the defense.

They battled.

I mean, it wasn't a great night.

I think that we saw Al Golden go toe to toe with a really guy we've been talking about for a couple years

and now as an offensive mind.

Sometimes Andy Coltonicki got him.

Sometimes he just went after him.

I was frustrated by at times,

Notre Dame's inability to adjust to the stretch.

They just could not handle the quick outside stuff.

I think Penn State knew we can't run at Notre Dame.

We're not just going to do what Georgia didn't, knew we can't run at Notre Dame. We're not just going to do

what Georgia did and just try to run right at Notre Dame. So they ran quick toss. They ran speed option.

They ran jet sweeps. They ran stretch plays. And Notre Dame early had a tough time handling it.

Second half. We were chatting about this in our group text. They did a much better job,

second half playing it. And then Penn State made some adjustments, got back to them.

You know, Andy Koldenicki called a great game. And then Al Golden was forced to counter punch a lot.

And at times he did, at times they got them. That's what happens when you go against really good

football coaches, guys, is they're going to have you sometimes. You've got to come back and answer.
