But we do have some questions in here to get us started on the mailbag, Brian.

First question from Wendell Boner, what does it seem like Al Washington just doesn't

reel in big time defensive linemen?

I guess I don't. I think why does it seem like that?

I would say it seems like that partially because they haven't been as successful as they need

to be recruiting the defensive line.

That's a fact.

I think the other part of it is, is the success they have had is partly not viewed as

such because too many people view success on what is viewed

as the best big big time by rivals and 247 and on three that's another part of it i mean we

told you guys when bubuchar triori signed with notre dame we told you he had elite upside he had raw

and had a lot to improve but we told y'all this kid's got five-star talent. This kid's got top 25 NFL draft pick

talent. He was my number one upside player in that class of 2023. And five-star kid, big-time talent.

But he wasn't ranked real high. So there wasn't the same level of excitement. You know, you look at guys this year and a guy like Joseph Reef doesn't get a lot of excitement because he's not a big time recruit, but I'm like, gosh, look at the film. The film was really impressive. And I think that's a big part of it is just some of the guys they have landed that I think are really good players. Logan Thomas, you know, five-star upside kid. Raw, 210 pounds is a freshman when he reported, but lots of ups. You have to

understand. No one is going to have to get more of those guys. They're not going to go out there

and recruit a bunch of five-star or top 50 defensive linemen with any regularity. They'll get

some here and there, but they're going to have to find the good players

with elite potential.
