analysis trevor and brian do you all think something like speed option would help or is that

putting riley at too much risk i mean look i'm i'm okay running speed option i just don't know that

that's something i'm incorporating five weeks into the season. That takes a lot of

work to get down. That takes a lot of work to work on the mesh and the proper angle of the back

and different things like that. And the running back being off by four inches can be the result in a

clean pitch or a fumble. So that might be something that you would have thought about putting in the off

season, but I don't know that that's something that I would do now. I also think there's plenty of

things you can do to attack a team in a very similar fashion to what you could with a speed option

that I think there's other ways to do it. And, you know, like the delay quick pitch is a little bit easier to do.

You know, you'll see teams do where the quarterback will kind of shuffle,

read that end.

And if the end comes down, you pitch it out.

If the end goes out, you're running some sort of quarterback power.

I think quarterback power is a way to do that where you're running off of a read, right, where you've got the jet read and you're

writing it and that guy goes out. I mean, that's sort of accomplishing a similar thing, but now you've

got a cleaner handoff as opposed to trying to work the speed option. So, Will, there's nothing wrong

with what you're saying, Will, and I think that is something that you could do at some point

time, but I just don't know that that's something I'm

putting in mid-season unless I know I'm getting a really easy, clean option look just because

if any kind of you get a look you haven't seen, defensive end plays it well, if you're not a team
