RFA, who I think is an Ohio State fan, has been a very good contributor to our board. he was talking about how he hopes that Notre Dame joins the Big Ten and people asking about the ACC, just so we're clear, if you didn't know this, from now until 2035,

I think it's when the Notre Dame contract of the ACC is up. Notre Dame legally cannot join another

conference. If Notre Dame wanted to join the Big 12 or the SEC or the

Big Ten or any other league, if they wanted to become a member of the American

conference, the Mountain West, anything other than the ACC, they'd have to go

through a very long, drawn out battle with the ACC because right now

they are legally contractually obligated to if they join a conference, it has to be the ACC.

If Notre Dame was interested in getting out of that deal and going to the Big Ten,

they would have torpedoed the ACC in this most recent negotiations.

The fact that Notre Dame helped the ACC in their negotiations for ESP,

because ESPN could have backed out, I think, after the 25 season,

ESPN had an out clause with the ACC.

They could have got out.

And if Notre Dame wanted to join the Big Ten or the SEC,

they could have torpedoed those negotiations.

Hey, we don't really want any part of this.

We're not going to give any concessions.

We already have a deal.

They could have done certain things to torpedo that.
