From Tristan Schaup, what is NC State lacking? Why do they underperform? Is it coaching?

I mean, I think they still don't have the talent of some of the teams they lose to.

They don't have the talent of Notre Dame and Clemson and Floor State most years and Miami most years.

Their talent is such that they should be winning eight, nine games regularly,

and then occasionally have that 10 win team.

Like, that's where their talent should be.

I'm not sitting there trying to say

like NC states had years where they should have been the ACC champs. I do think there's a year

or two where they should have been playing in the ACC title game and then lose to Clemson. But I think

Dave Dorn just hasn't been able to kind of get the most out of that team and his staff has just not

been in a position to maximize the talent on that team.

And I don't think they're good enough in the lines consistently enough.

Now, they've had some lines in years where they were really good.

Their 2017 defensive line was outstanding.

But they're just not consistently good enough in the trenches, in my opinion.

And I think they've often, you talked about the secondary, I think that's an error they're

often lacking in high-level players.
