I think they may bring a portal quarterback in. More of a preferred walk-on type of kid that competes to be the backup quarterback, but he won't be brought in to be the backup quarterback with no questions asked. He'll have to battle.

So I kind of sell this. I don't unsell it entirely, but I mostly sell it.

Yep, agreed. And then by so hold, Notre Dame should bring in a portal quarterback. There is an argument that if CJ misses multiple

games due to an injury, we don't have someone even close to being ready. We all know 10 and 2

doesn't get us in, especially with our schedule in 26. Yeah. I just want to point this out that Tom

said he wrote that before the press conference.

So which makes sense because the BISO whole thing was put up Tuesday.

We moved it back to today because Freeman called the press conference yesterday,

which originally we didn't know was going to happen.

So that makes sense, Tom, because coach did address that yesterday. Should they bring in a portal quarterback? I've said from the beginning that I would not be, I would have no problem with them bringing in sort of a quarterback that is going to be the backup for a year. And if he gets beat out by one of the younger kids, that's great. But if they're not ready yet, you've at least got some

veteran that can kind of get you out of a jam in case CJ misses some games. Or you start him

and then you bring the other guy along if CJ has a more longer term injury. So yes.

I'm going to actually, I understand where you're coming from here with the submission, Tom,

and I know you did it before the press conference, but I'm going to sell this.

I don't think that they should bring in a portal quarterback.

I understand the discussions of, you know, what if so-and-so isn't ready,

whether it be Blake Hebert or Noah Grubbs or Teddy Gerard,

but we're never

going to know if somebody's ready until they are put in that situation.
