is in Notre Dame for the long run and will stay after winning a title, eventually surpassing Kelly for all-time wins.

I'm going to hope by this, and I get it. You guys are going to keep asking us about this. I understand. It just is what it is. I'm going to hope by this and leave it at that because I don't really feel like repeating what I say over and over and over again about, I mean, he's going to say all the right things. He may mean that. I don't know if he does or doesn't. I don't have that kind of relationship with Marcus Freeman. I can simply tell you the things that I've been told and the things that I've been told. It just depends on who's asking. He may think right now I have no intention of leaving, but then that right, the Dallas Cowboys, you know, offer him a job after he

wins a title.

I can just say that I hope that what he said in that interview is exactly how he feels and that

this is true. And this is going to sound super tacky. And I don't mean it in any kind of like

fan-ish way. I'm being really honest here. I wonder how him being around Coach Holtz's players

the last couple days might influence Marcus Freeman's desire to stay at the college level

somewhere, whether it's Notre Dame or not. I don't think you can have the impact on young men

in the NFL the way that you do in college football. And I do believe that is something that

Marcus Freeman takes a lot of value in. And as Marcus

Freeman is sitting there, surrounded by men that are his age or older, some much older,

and seeing the men they are and the things they attribute to Coach Lou Holtz's influence,

I think those are things that Marcus Freeman aspires to.

Those are things that he believes in,

not only because of coach Holtz and his influence,

but even more so because of his own college coach

in the influence that Jim Tressel had on Marcus Freeman,
