All right, Baisal Hold, Miami run through smoke is one of the most underrated game day traditions.

A lot of teams, including ND, copied it.

I didn't know that that was something that originated with Miami.

I'm not saying you're wrong, B.J.

I just didn't know that that's where it started.

So they've been so obviously I've been playing college football video game for a long time. They had, excuse me, they had Miami running out of the smoke a long, long time ago. And so I'm going to, I'll go ahead and give it to Miami that running through the smoke was kind of their thing. So, you know, I'll give it to them. I mean, it is one of the most underrated game day traditions. It doesn't seem like it took all that much forethought to come up with it, but nobody else did. And so they were first, I suppose. And so, you know, good on them. But, you know, it's a bunch of fire extinguishers spraying at your players. So, I mean, I guess that's great. But it's cool. Running out of the smoke is cool. And you're right. Notre Dame copied it.

And so did a lot of other schools. So I'll give it to them. Did some quick research. And I'll buy

this as well. Like it's underrated in that. Like I hesitate to call it like a tradition.

Yeah. I know. I know. Entrance. Right. You know, but I get where you're coming from. But fun fact, it originated in the 1950s. Oh. The school's transportation director, Bob Nillett, used fire extinguishers to create a cloud of smoke for pregame player introductions. And then it blew up in the 80s when they were on their rise to being a national powerhouse.

So it did start in Miami. Okay. Yeah. It did start in the 50s. Yeah. Okay. So. Tusha. Good for him.

I just don't think that there's anything that I'd be able to ask Dabo Sweeney that he wouldn't answer honestly without having this caveat in here. Yeah, that's facts. Yeah, that's a good point. Like, it's, I feel like if I just sat down with him, if I ran into him, if I went to Kroger after the show today and I ran into Davos, we need like he would just be honest with me. my buy is Lincoln Riley because the first thing that I would ask him was, did you go take the USC job because you were afraid to play in the SEC? That would be great, wouldn't it? And then the second question I would ask him is, did you play a big hand along with Jen Cohen to get the Notre Dame rivalry basically taken off of your schedule because you're afraid to play Notre Dame because you're tired

to get your teeth kicked in. So it's like, and then with Kurt Signetti, again, he strikes me as another one of those guys that it's like, I just don't know what unfiltered question I'm asking. Because I think he believes everything that comes out of his mouth. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like everything he says, he believes. I mean, you don't say stuff like he says it if he's not all in on it.

You know what I mean?

So I kind of put Kurt and dabble in the same category as well on that one.

Lincoln Riley is a poser, a liar, a politician, whatever negative connotation you want to put with Lincoln Riley,
