Brian and I are back with another Notre Dame football rundown, and we have a lot of different topics that we're going to discuss today.

We're getting the show kicked off talking about the All-America candidates on Notre Dame's roster,

and we're splitting us up into two conversations, really. Part one of today show is going to be about the offense. Part two is going to be about the defense. We flirted around with the idea of maybe we combine it all into one. But good problem to have is there's a lot of candidates to discuss. So we're breaking it into two parts. And then we're also going to preview Notre Dame's seventh regular season opponent today. The BYU Cougars, one of the more anticipated matchups of the 2026 season. And we're going to take everything home talking about the top 10 offensive lines in college football and a daily mailbag geared towards the topics that we discussed today. So get those questions in throughout the show, MB for mailbag mailbox emoji. It lets us us to set those questions aside. But Brian, loaded slate today, man, I'm excited for it. Very much so. You know, we were kind of back and forth on several topics, but we were going to do like Heisman Trophy and we're like, I don't know if we're going to have enough time. Because like Trev said, I think this All-American conversation is going to go a little bit longer. and so we're going to break it into two. But yeah, fun rundown. This is more of our midweek rundown,

but I didn't call it midweek rundown because it's not the middle of the week. And, you know, so it's just our rundown show. And we're going to just kind of cover some topics a little bit more, I don't say rapid fire, rapid fire for us. It'd be rapid fire for us. So, yeah, it's going to be fun, especially the

offensive line conversation, Trev,

because that was really back and forth. There's so much projection that goes into that.

Very much looking forward to that conversation. And I want to hear from y'all.

I want, I want y'all to be giving us some of your top 10 offensive line groups this year because

it was a challenge for us. And there's some offensive lines that I think could be pretty good that we left out. And there's some offensive lines that are very talented, but I haven't proven yet. There's a lot. There's a lot. And so I'm very much looking forward to that. And then even Notre Dame's placement was a challenge. So I'm looking forward to having that conversation, Treb. We're going to do that at the end of the show. We're going to kick things off talking all-Americans. You know, like we talked about, there's several candidates that we can talk about on both sides of the ball. And where we're going to start, you're listening to two offensive guys. We're going to start on the offensive side of the ball for Notre Dame. And there's a bunch of different candidates. We're going to break this down into, you know, freshman, All-American sleeper candidates. But, you know, Brian, at the end of the day, when you start looking at who is a prime candidate to be named an All-American on Notre Dame's offense, it's its quarterback CJ Carr, returning starter from last year, first returning starter since 2020, and a preseason favorite on Fand would win the Heisman trophy.

Well, I mean, I think one of the things about being an All-American, and just to answer a question that we got in the chat, when we're talking about All-Americans, we're talking about guys that we think are going to be All-American candidates on the all-American list, not, not ours. This is

sort of a predicting who we think could be the postseason all-Americans that, you know, for Walter, it's what it's the five, right, it's the five big ones. It's Walter Camp, it's football writers, it's AFCA, it's AP, and it's sporting news, right? It's, it's kind of those groups. And then there's some others who's all-American teams that I kind of have a little bit of respect for.

I don't mean that.

That sounds like that. news, right? It's it's kind of those groups. And then there's some others who's all-American teams that I kind of have a little bit of respect for. I don't mean that that sounded like

really disrespectful, but that I also look at and put something to that aren't part of that five.

But so that that's what we're referring to. We're talking about like actual national

Americans, not I be all-Americans. And so when you talk about C.J. Carr, Trev, it's interesting because the reason that I don't think we saw as much preseason All-America love for him in the magazines is because of how deep it is a quarterback this year.

And I was even then, I was still a little bit surprised. And some of it you understand. It's, it's, you know, the Manning hype combined with the Texas hype is why you're

seeing a lot of love for Arch. And I'm not saying that that love is unwarranted. We think

Arch has got a chance to have a very good year. But I don't know that what Arch did last year should

have him as this first team All-American
