Part two of today's show, Trevor, and I'm not quite sure if we're going to be able to get to a mailback today.

I hope we can, but that segment went a lot longer than we thought it was going to be because there's some very good conversation.

Part two of this is going to say, let's look back at Notre Dame's portal classes and kind of talk about where this one stacks up against those units.

And we will look at it from a standpoint of what we know, not so much what we thought about

units before because it doesn't matter. We know what those units were. We don't know what this one will be.

But it's saying, can this unit provide what past units have?

And when you look over the years, Trevor, and you look back,

obviously you had a Lohe Gilman that shows up back in 2017 and the impact he had.

Notre Dame's had some transfers in the past.

You go back to even Cody Riggs turned out to be a huge pickup for Notre Dame of 2014 because Kavari Russell eventually got suspended.

He was going to be the nickel.

He has to turn into a starter, had an impactful season then.

So there have been over the years Notre Dame has landed transfers before.

But obviously in recent years, that's ramped up a little bit with the current portal.

And it began with the graduate rules that started back in the 20 teens, where if you're a graduate, you get a transfer right away and play right away.

That was the first portal transfer change, which is one that I've always supported.

I think there should always be rewards for getting your degree as a student athlete yeah and and that is one of them that I fully support and so that was sort of the early

impact in the portal so you go back to like the from 2020 till now when we really started to see

multiple guys per year in most instances in 2020 you had Ben Scaronic and Nick McLeod and Isaiah

Pryor. I think those were very impactful players. I would say it's fair to say that if they don't

come to Notre Dame, I don't know that Notre Dame runs the table that year, especially with

Nick McLeod. I thought he was so important to that team.
