Brian Epstein fully expected in 1966 to mirror the previous two years.

A Beatles film followed by a soundtrack album and a non-soundtrack album.

A third Beatles film had been the promise of a three-picture deal with United Artists,

and the expectation was that one more movie would complete the trilogy, started by a hard day's night, and help. The potential third

film that was mooted is what we are going to discuss today, and it's an odd bunch of options

that the Beatles pondered. The film that never was. The film that never was, the third Beatles film that never was, and of

course there were other Beatles films as we know, but we mean the kind of the Hard Days Night Help

trilogy. There should have been a trilogy. It should have been the big feature film. The big, yes,

the big 40-foot John Paul, George and Ringo on the screen again.

That is kind of the pattern that they were trying to do.

It seems that they were trying to have a 1966, like 64 and 65.

But the big hurdle seems to have been off the top of everything was getting them to, you know, they didn't really enjoy help.

They didn't. I mean, I think this is probably the biggest hurdle was the fact that, you know, they'd been highest kites, Jason, on the dynamite weed.

Oh, I thought it was high on life.

They hadn't enjoyed the experience of

filming help. They felt, I think, you know, quite rightly, they were sort of extras in their own film.

They were just being moved around different set pieces. I enjoy help from all its political

incorrectness. You know, I think it's a good romp.

It's my entry point to the Beatles, I think I've said this before.
