This is the second part of our look at Rubber Soul.

In our first part, we were looking at the first week of sessions in October 1965.

And now we're going to look at some more sessions, but also the other bits of life

that intervene in mid-October, 1965, because they were busy. And when we left them,

they had just nailed down in my life. And George Martin had done his, he nipped in and done a

solo for the boys, done his piano. The next day of note is October the 19th, which isn't a rubber

soul recording session, but it's actually a Christmas fan club message recording session.

And I think it's a metaphor for the change in the band that they, they read a Tony Barrow script

and generally just think it's rubbish. Yeah. Yes, this is true.

This tape is, tapes of this day are circulating,

have circulated for a long time in bootlegs.

And you can, they're not feeling it.

They're not feeling it.

Yes.

And it is a kind of stilted, you know,

they sing bonfire night to the tune of Silent Night.

Well, it's not fun.
