Another really interesting week.

What's happening right now is unusual.

I think it was kind of unavoidable in that we have a seven-day break, essentially,

between the end of evidence being presented in the Trump case.

Of course, I'm talking about the hush money trial in Manhattan.

We have a seven-day break between the end of the evidence and the start of closings, which

will happen on Tuesday, the day after Memorial Day. I think Judge Mershahn made the better of two

not-great choices here. His other option would have been to hold closings during this past week, but then there's a good chance the jury would be deliberating when they hit the Memorial Day holiday.

And you really can't take the risk of splitting up deliberations by four or five days.

It's not good for the deliberations themselves.

You run the risk that a juror might see something in the

middle of those deliberations, which is a big problem bigger than if something happens before

deliberations. So very unusual circumstance, and I think it makes closings that much more
