Hey everyone, Ellie here, wishing you a happy, not Friday.

Actually, you'll probably get this Monday late or Tuesday.

Something big happened, which is why I felt like we couldn't wait until Friday.

I had to address it. And I'm talking, of course, about Donald Trump's explicit commands to

the Attorney General, Pam Bondi, to go after his political opponents. You know, I teach this class

at Rutgers University, State University of New Jersey, where I went a long time ago, and I teach

undergrads. And the class is about DOJ and its role in the political process, its role within the executive branch.

And one of the key things we talk about, of course, is DOJ's independence.

And I gave this reading to the class today.

And I went in and I half jokingly just went in and said, well, the whole course is canceled.

I mean, why even bother anymore if we're just openly using DOJ for political ends? Anyway, on with this week's
