Hey everyone, Ellie here, wishing you a happy Friday. Before we get to this week's piece, I just wanted to

note, there was a day this

week when I got texts from a handful of different friends, all of whom were very worried about the

same story. You may have seen this, that a person who brought a case challenging the legality

of same-sex marriage, which of, the Supreme Court recognized the decade ago.

A person is now seeking to challenge that in the Supreme Court and seeking to convince the

Supreme Court to reverse Obergefell, which is the case granting protections for same-sex marriage.

There's some real concern out there that the Supreme Court might take this case and might

actually reverse itself.

What I told all these friends is it's very unlikely the Supreme Court takes the case.

It's not 0%. I'm never going to vouch it for them, zero or 100% to do anything, but I think

it's very likely. Clarence Thomas has made clear he would like to overturn Obergefell,

but you need four to take a case.

You need five to reverse.

I just don't see it there.
