the Southern District of New York, the Eric Adams case, the DC U.S. attorney over the last several

weeks. But before we get to this week's topic, I do want to note one interesting and I think

important development. As a follow-up to last week's topic, I do want to note one interesting and I think important

development as a follow-up to last week where my piece was very critical of this acting

U.S. attorney down in D.C., this guy Ed Martin.

Well, one of the things that I criticized Ed Martin for was going on Twitter or X and

threatening to bring criminal investigations against Chuck Schumer

and against Representative Garcia for really just political speech. Yes, inflammatory words,

but nothing even remotely approaching crime, everything well within the ambit of the First Amendment.

Well, news broke this week that bosses at the Justice Department, it's not entirely clear who,

but somebody at the Justice Department actually rejected and resisted Ed Martin's effort

to actually open up a criminal investigation, a grand jury investigation of Chuck Schumer.

So it's the right outcome.

I'm not sure it's a final outcome.
