Hey everyone, Ellie here, wishing you a very happy Friday.

And maybe more importantly this week, an anxiety-free Friday,

because here we are four days away from Election Day, this day that has been looming on the

calendar we've been looking at with maybe excitement, maybe dread, maybe some combination of them

for a long time now. Well, here we go. Two quick things that I want to

stress about the election. First, my fervent hope is that this election is resolved at the ballot

box and not in the courts. I will be on standby for CNN pending legal challenges. I hope you

don't see me because definitionally, if you do, that means we're in the

courts. And that is not a good thing for the United States of America either way.

Second of all, I know a lot of people have been saying this, but I feel like I need to repeat it.

There is a very good chance we do not have a traditional call of the outcome on Tuesday night.

When I was growing up as a kid, midnight, 1 a.m., 2 a.m., maybe 11.30 p.m., they would call

it for one side or the other.

That is unlikely this time. Last time in 2020, it took until Saturday to get a call. It takes

time for these states to count their votes. It takes time for

these states to certify their results. This promises to be a close election. So be patient.
