Speaking with Joy. Six months ago today, on a bone cold February day, my book, You Are a Tree, released into the world.

I remember spending the day walking around town taking pictures of some of my favorite trees

and feeling like it was almost ashamed to have a book with a beautiful flowering tree on the cover

to be released in the depths of February with all of its

grayness and its stripped back branches. But now, six months later, with all the same trees

clothed in lovely verdant green, though it's still not warm, I think that it was a beautiful

reminder of the turning of the seasons, which is one of the things I explored in that book, the metaphor of seasons for the human life, amongst other things like wisdom is light and life is a journey.

And today, to mark the occasion of its six months since it released, I am so excited to share this final conversation in my series

on Euritri. On today's episode, I talk with one of the people who's thinking on metaphors and

the imagination I admire most. Today's conversation is with the Reverend Kenan Professor Trevor

Hart. He serves as the rector at St. Andrews Episcopal

Church in St. Andrews, affectionately referred to here as St. Andrews, St. Andrews. And before that, he had a

long and illustrious career in theology and scholarship. He was formerly the professor of divinity

at the University of St. Andrews,

where he founded the Institute for Theology, Imagination in the Arts, with Jeremy Begby,

and acted as its first director until 2013. And for those of you who've listened to this podcast

for a long time, that is the institute where I completed my PhD. Trevor is married to Rachel, and they have three

adult children and a border terrier called Grizzle. And I will share that I often see Trevor walking
