And political historian Phil Tinline. Well, I'm Phil. Hello. Right, let's get into this. So,

I was sort of talking earlier on about how there doesn't really ever seem to be a silly season anymore.

It's just lots of news. It's not a proper summer recess. So it's the first day of August,

and the government has this huge majority.

It's only one year on, a bit more from the general election, but ministers have got all sorts of things to tackle with over the coming weeks. And one of those is Heathrow expansion.

The airport has submitted its plans for a third runway to the government today,

and its boss Thomas Waldby claims that the M25 can be moved overnight without any disruption

to motorists in order to facilitate the project. Alice, this is wonderful. We get a third runway

and no disruption. Is this really going to happen? Yeah, well, I hope so. It would be great news if it does.
