Lakers coach JJ Reddick revealed the team's opening night starting lineup when he used it against the Sacramento Kings to close out preseason.

It included Gabe Vincent in the starting five.

But will that be the permanent group?

It doesn't sound likely.

Could we be seeing another starting lineup change coming for the Lakers?

Joining me is Donnie Freeman. Donnie, the starting lineup for the Lakers, last night against Sacramento Kings, Gabe Vincent, Rui Hanchobura, Austin Reeves Reeves, Luke Adonchich, DeAndre Hayton. A lot of people were surprised that it was game in the starting five and not say Jared Vanderbilt, perhaps Marcus Smart. There were some other ideas floating around out there. Were you surprised? And did you like that starting five? I was a bit surprised because we didn't, when we talk about it, it was always like

smart, Vando, you know, mostly that.

Nobody never mentioned Gabe so much as an option.

I kind of wonder if his hot shooting was part of the reason as to why, you know, a little

bit of recency there from JJ.

And in terms of if I liked it, potentially, it was,

it was okay. I thought maybe they were just a smidge too small with Gabe because he is pretty

undersized. And I think in certain matchups, you could maybe go to that, but I would probably

personally prefer to stick either Vando or smart in that spot instead. Vando certainly had his

moments, both positive and negative in the game last night,

but Gabe Vincent continues the hot shooting four for five from three, five for six for the

field overall does give, he's kind of a middle ground because he gives you a little bit of

offense plus a little bit of defense. He's not as good of a defensive player, but certainly a better offensive player.

But JJ Reddick did leave the door open for this to drastically change.
