Hey everyone, it's Hibah here. Today we're re-airing a couple of stories that we originally published in 2017,

an episode called Not Just My Hijab. We'll share stories by two different women and their relationships with their Hijab,

because we find that Hizab often is seen as this static, monolithic thing, and of course

it's not that simple. Every Muslim woman who chooses to wear or chooses not to wear the hijab

has a different understanding and experience of it. And in these next stories, we're going to

dig into some of that gray area.

As an Arab, I've actually never heard of someone struggling with their own hijab.

I've only heard two opinions.

Either a woman is all for it or all against it.

And those opinions make up so much of the discourse around us.

And as current and cultures, we love telling the stories of the in-between.
