0:45.9	As a boy growing up, I remember looking at our family Bible, and perhaps you've seen something like this where in the front of the family Bible, there were names, a little genealogical

0:55.8	People don't do a lot of that now. Maybe they do more of it. It's gone to another level of the technology
1:01.2	we have and the access to information. So many genealogical studies and you can research your
1:08.9	family tree and your heritage and all of that.
1:12.1	It's interesting, really, to look at.
1:14.0	And you see some of that in scripture.
1:15.4	We've come to a passage like that today in Genesis chapter number 11.
1:18.4	It's a family tree.
1:20.0	It starts in verse 10.
1:21.1	These are the generations of Shem.
1:23.1	Now, you remember, we had in Genesis 10 the beginnings of all the nations in Shem Hemma Japeth,
1:29.4	but why the emphasis here on Shem?
1:31.5	These are the generations of Shem.
1:33.1	Shim was 100 years old and Baguad, or Faxid two years after the flood.
1:37.1	So we're going all the way back to two years off of the ark and a baby's born.
