I started going to Portland in 2008 or 2009, several summers, my wife and our boys, would

spend the summer there.

It's beautiful in Portland in the summers.

Just beautiful.

And then I noticed that Portland was becoming more like California than Portland.

The charm and quirkiness of the people of, say, Portlandia, the TV show, was giving

way to the filth and insanity that had engulfed California.

And normal people were moving out and crazy people were moving in and I mean crazy people.

So I had a listener event.

We flew up from Houston, stayed in the beautiful Benson Hotel, wonderful historic hotel.

And I took our listeners, we raised money for St. Jude, the charity for children's cancer.

And all the profits from the event went to, went to that charity.

And I wanted, one of the first things on our agenda was there's a massive food truck

park, the likes of which most people have never seen.

You go and get your food from the food truck and there's a park across the street.

There's all these food trucks to choose from.

And I mean, like a festival of food trucks, you go across the street and there's a really

pretty park.

So there's, I don't know, 30 or four of it, for 30 or 40 of us and we go get our food and

we go to the park and these homeless people start coming along and they start yelling at

each other.

And as our people would go put their food into the trash, these homeless people would go
