Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on the home of

common sense. It is, of course, talk radio. The energy crisis appears to have been abated for the

time being, according to the politicians, which means we're not going to run out of heating

materials or CO2 to keep the beer flowing and the meat industry supplies in the supermarket. But it's

still a crisis as far as I'm concerned, because mostly prices are rising so fast that one and a half million households will now

apparently be affected. There can be nothing worse than opening up the post to discover that

the bill you were paying has now increased by 25%. And instead of paying 600 quid a year,

you're now going to pay a thousand. And you'll have to take out a small mortgage to keep yourself in electricity for the next 12 months. Paul Scully, the business minister, has been going on

this morning on various shows talking about how the energy price cap is keeping prices down.

Is he sure he's living in the real world? I'm not entirely sure. Yesterday, we brought you some

consumer advice and today we want you to keep that advice coming, this time, from your good selves. Tell us your stories, how much is your

bill going up by? What have you done about it? And is there a special trick to getting it reduced?
