But I'm also mad.

No, I'm mad at myself.

Because I read your interview with Ross Douthit.

And I was like, oh, I keep saying that what I want to do is not politics.

But then, and I'm like, we're going to talk

about being better people and living a good life. And then I'm reading this interview, and I'm

like, but that's like what I've devoted my entire, my vocational life to. And you and I,

we don't even talk about that offline because we talk about other things. And you and I, we don't even talk about that offline because we talk about other things.

And so I was full of a deep anchovy-like resentment towards Ross Douthat. We're getting to have

the conversation with you that I don't get to have. But it is better. I know that it is better

to not have this be a political podcast, but I would just like to air my grievance. You wanted

Festivus. There's my grievance. Well, I think you and I both believe in analytics and synthetics,

right? Like, I think we believe deeply that great welding matters a lot.
