Hey, welcome to Gilmore Guys, I'm Kevin and before we started the episode today, I just wanted to give a little background as to what it actually is.

So we've titled it not 506. What? What does that mean? Well, if you're a regular listener of the show, you probably already heard our 506 episode Norman Mailer, I'm pregnant with our delightful friend of the show, Ali Gertz.

And what you may not know is that that was actually our second attempt to record that episode. Our first attempt is what you're about to hear.

So we booked comedian extraordinaire Pete Holmes, who, Demi and I are both huge fans of. We love him so much.

And what ended up happening as recording it is it became less about Gilmore Girls and more just about TV in general and a discussion of tastes and distaste and likes and dislikes.

And it was definitely not episode specific. We definitely did not do a justice. I think about halfway through both Demi and I bailed on trying to have a discussion of the show.

We don't do Q&A. We don't do any of our regular segments. And it just becomes a fun, delightful little hour and a half of talking and laughing.

And kind of in the vein of some of our early episodes, like season one, season two, when we would invite hilarious people on and a lot of them would not enjoy the show.

So this is a little bit like that. We love Pete so much. We've been sitting on this audio for a long time, looking for the right opportunity to release it.

And I think right before we go into our break and as the last episode of 2015, it is very fitting to release this as a little bonus.

So we hope you enjoy it. It's definitely not going to be a great discussion of 506, which is why we're calling it not 506.

We talk about Gilmore Girls maybe 60% of the time and the rest about other things. So if you're looking for a good Gilmore Girls discussion, maybe keep looking.
