In our first tale, we know is around, for smells. There's said to be one of the biggest memory

triggers, we associate smells with a lot of important memories in our lives, whether we realize it or

not, and so the scent of something can be hugely formative to us. But in this tale, shared with us by

author, Jay Cisco, we discover what happens when the smell you regard with such fondness is something

which leaves you ashamed. Performing this tale are Peter Lewis and Kyle Acres. So let's head to the

site of an unusual smell, the crematorium at a veterinary clinic, and let's take a deep sniff of

those sweet remains.

I'd be lying if I said it wasn't appealing. It's one of the first things you notice, but you never

talk about it. Ever. And when all my years not one member of staff, no janitor, no grieving family

member who insisted on being there when it happened, talked about the smell. It makes you think

you're the only one to notice. You stay up late at night wondering if there's something wrong with you,

whether it's some caveman instinct that after millennia can still only see meat as meat, then you see

them when they come in, stumbling on their paws, coughing weakly in between yowls and owls of
