UK theatrical release of Robert Eggers' new movie Nosferatu. This is a kind of a remake or a reimagining

of the original F.W. Murnau Silent Classic, which in itself is an

kind of unofficial, illegal adaptation of Bram Stoker's Dracula novel. So what we've got here

is a kind of an adaptation of an adaptation. Robert Eggers, who had previously made films like

The Witch and The Lighthouse, he's proven

himself to be such an effective atmospheric director with such a keen eye on details, on

authenticity and that kind of thing. So I sat down and had a chat to Robert Eggers about

making Nosferatu about his relationship with the original and his thoughts generally on the history

and the evolution of the vampire movie and how to make a scary vampire film in a post-Twilight

First of all, just tell us a little bit about the origin of this project and how you came to it.
