to the Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland, where they have introduced a temporary circuit-breaking

lockdown and to Sir David King, who was a former chief scientific advisor to the government,

and now is a great voice of opposition to the way that the government

is handling it as chairman of the so-called independent sage. Also, freethinking David Davis,

the former Tory minister and free-thinking Liz Kendall Senior Labor Party member, member

of Kirst Armama's team.

The debate's been raging for 48 hours whether the

England should go into a circuit breaking full lockdown for two or three weeks.

It's something that your leader K Kirstama, called for yesterday.

And we saw at the beginning of the week that the government's own scientific advisors on Sage

recommended to him three weeks ago that we should do that.

You're, as I understand it, a circuit breaker skeptic, David.

But when you see that analysis, which says,

when you see the thing rising, act early, suppress it,

why is this the wrong approach?

Why is a circuit breaker the wrong approach?

Well, that's right.

Act early and suppress it.

That second bit is very important.

You've got to be able to stop it and then keep it under control. All the ones that Anushka was referring to was successful were able to do that.
