And I'm Carol Markowitz.

Well, we do have to talk about debate night, because it may be the last time that candidates

are on stage during this general election for a big TV audience.

Last night, Vice Presidential Candidates,

J.D. Vance and Tim Walls took the stage in New York.

And we're going to chat a little bit about how that went down,

particularly the parts that we think say something about the larger

race and what we have moving forward.

Yeah, I think it was a great debate in a lot of ways.

I have some serious complaints about it too, but I do like that they got into some issues. They were there wasn't any yelling. I like no yelling, generally polite and very personable, right?

I think that's the way it should be.

My problems with the debate is that it's all on democratic terms. It's not even just the biased moderators, right?

These debates happen on democratic issues.

The only mention of the open border

was about separating families.

January 6 questions in every single debate,

like how much more can we hear about it?

Zero mention of our education collapse because

Biden and Harris let Randy Weingarden rewrite CDC policy and keep schools closed

during COVID and we still have not recovered from that. So I think these are issues that, you know, if this was a Democratic primary debate, fine, but it's not. And that is really kind of my central problem with these debates.
