We told you about the news yesterday that Germany is seeing its highest excess deaths since the start of the pandemic right now, 40% above normal.

Higher than things even were in January of 21 as Delta variant was wreaking havoc at the height of that cold and flu season.

Which is what you'd expect after lockdowns, masks and vaccines work.

Yeah, that's how it's supposed to work, right?

And the government wants to tell you that it's about long COVID.

Except if you go look at the government's COVID stats, and this is right from the World Health Organization itself,

COVID deaths in Germany are down about 71% in January of 2023 compared to where they were in January of 2022.
