Nope is a good example of how film turns out when a lauded director proves too fond of

his own florescence to trim the fat, to worry about whether his ideas cohere or to respect

the dramatic imperatives of the form in which he is working. Love the review, Kyle Smith

of Wall Street Journal. He's talking about no brand new film from Jordan Peale, a huge

one. I think it opened at 44 million of the box office and their massive opening for

the director of Get Out. That is our new movie this week. Our old movie, I'll be talking

a lot of it, my trip to South Carolina and in particular Fort Sumter. And so inspired

by that, I was so pumped as I was looking at Fort Sumter, I saw something about the 54th

Regiment. I know the 54th Regiment, that's a story of glory. And I asked one of the tourgats,

I go, wait, this is about this. He's like one mile north, point eight miles, be specific,

is Fort Wagner, which is the ending of glory. So obviously there's actually a monument,

there's nothing there, commemorating that. But yes, you're in the same area as that,

it's like, oh perfect. I got my old movie now for this week. Glory, starting Denzel

Washington, which he won his first Academy Award, Morgan Freeman, Matthew Broderick, and so

on and so forth. And as far as our wild car is concerned, Dennis Lahane, you know if

you're a fan of movies, that his name is synonymous with a lot of films being adapted
