non-traditional one here. This chat is with Hector, a WSO Academy alum that was able to break into

a boutique IB role in London coming from a complete non-target master's program in the US. He joined

the Academy after being forced to move back to Spain because of visa issues and the key strategy he

used to lock down his first front office role.

All right, Hector. Thanks so much for taking the time to speak with the audience here and with me all about your story. So I'd love to just start back by giving some of the listeners kind of a little history of your background, kind of where you're from, all that good stuff.

Yeah, of course. Well, first of all, thank you very much, Patrick, for having me here and anything I can do

to help future monkeys.

Yeah, well, I did my bachelor's in economics in Spain.

In economics, yeah.

And I then have the chance to move to the United States to do a master's

degree in economics as well. I got a scholarship to play soccer there. And honestly speaking,

Patrick, when I went to do my master's, I aim for to become a professional soccer player there,

honestly. Let's tell people the story of how you finished your undergrad right at COVID,

and then what happened when you were coming over for your master's?

And why did you even go to a master's at a complete non-target school?

Yeah, well, that's funny story because, well, I finished my bachelor's,

and I didn't find any, like, good opportunity

that triggered me to stay in Spain.
