There's a big difference in the workup and overall disposition of patients with vaginal bleeding who are not pregnant.

So basically we're here today to talk about the workup for non-pregnant vaginal bleeding

and the emergency department.

Now this is a complaint you will see in females who are only a few days old, all the way up to

those in their 90s.

And while it can seem tough at first to try and sort out through the many

reasons that women present with vaginal bleeding, you can narrow your differential pretty quickly

by assessing vitals and taking a smart focus history with a thorough exam.
