Ingram Smith, Bud Elliot, back again for another episode of the Noel cast.

Bud doing a midday, mid, mid work week podcast here, have this out on a Thursday for people, not necessarily one dominant topic, but interested

to field a decent amount of listener questions.

Certainly we're going to talk about the NFL draft and certain prospects for that.

Mainly, Jaylon Ramsey and just talk about, have a little general conversation about what we kind of learned from

spring and some of the larger topics and larger points of conversation that

will surround this team as we really enter into the long painful stretch that is the off season.

Ingram, the NFL is just losing it to mind with these draft trades. I think the new Ricky wage scale that went into effect a couple years ago has made it so that if you miss on a top pick if he bust it doesn't really kill your

franchise quite as much and that's actually increased the value of these top picks to

teams because you get all the potential upside of a number one type pick with less of the salary

downside and if it works out then you have a player cost controlled for four or five years,

which may be the best years of his career and with that setup today Philadelphia traded a

boatload of picks to the Cleveland Browns just about a week after the Tennessee Titans flipped their number one pick to the now Los Angeles Rams.

So now the Rams are picking one, Philadelphia is picking two, and the Browns and Titans

have a just a ton of picks to go and make their teams Browns and

go and make their teams better.

And it seems like this is for quarterbacks in a year where

most of these quarterbacks are not regarded as all that great of prospects.

So Jared Golf is certainly talented.

I thought he was a really good college player, but he gets out of the air raid system.
