I heard a lot of people holler about the blues saying they ain't listening to

know who do music, but I'm going to tell you about the blues. When you're far away from home

and can't sleep at night, you got the blues. When you ain't got no money to buy food and can't pay for your house,

you got the blues. When you look in the mirror and can't see nothing but a stranger's face

with cracks and wrinkles and black dust round eyes, you got the goddamn blues.
