I'm delighted to report that I have joined as a scholar, the Declaration of Independence Center for the Study of American Freedom at the University of Mississippi.

The center offers educational opportunities, speakers, internship, and reading groups for the University of Mississippi community.

It is named in honor of the United States founding document,

which constitutes the nation as a political community

and expresses fundamental principles of American freedom,

including in the recognition of the importance of Judeo-Christian values

in shaping American exceptionalism.

Dedicated to the academic and open-minded exploration of these principles, the Center exists

to encourage exploration into the many facets of freedom. It will sponsor a speaker series

Hi everybody. This is Got Sad after a bit of a break from doing some sad truths because I was on my own book tour today.

I have Noah Rothman, who's got his own book to discuss this beauty right here, blood and

progress, a discussion of left-wing violence. Before I see the floor to you, let me just briefly mention who you are.

You're a senior writer with National Review, and you're the author of three books, including this one right here,

which I read last year while I was in Bermuda with my family. So that's a big accomplishment to take me away both from the

beach and from my family in choosing to read your book, Noah. And then the other book that you have,

I think it was maybe the first one, unjust, social justice and the unmaking of America and the

rise. But yeah, that's it. Anything else you want to add before we get moving? No, that's great. And I apologize for ruining your vacation or at least interrupting it, but I appreciate the read. No, it's a great book. For those of you who don't know, I mean, we're going to get to this book in a second. But for those of you who don't know, this is a book where Noah is comparing the current new Puritans of the sort of the woke movement to the original Puritans.
