I think of all as being kind of built on Tung Tremand.

They're all coming of age stories in the way.

Would you agree with that, Noah?

Yeah, as you say it, yes.

And you not thought about it that way before?

Because at some point, either an adult or a child really has to mature.

Yeah, I suppose it is about how we, looking at them as a whole, it is sort of how

we continue to have to come of age. Yeah, I thought about that too, because we were just talking

before we got going, by the way, we're here, talking about Noah's new movie marriage story.

They're all about a body blow, kind of a trauma that a child has to deal with and really has to reorient himself

after this thing happens yeah and i mean in that in the in the in marriage story as well the

there is something infanilizing about the divorce process too it's like i mean the way

the legal system kind of takes over your life the way

lawyers kind of start speaking for you almost like you know they the i mean we see in the movie

Nicole and charlie kind of almost uh are sort of stripped of their their voices their and their

authority their selfhood there is something infanilizing about that.

And, you know, on one level, you have two people who are parents who are trying to

be the best parents to their kid and and parent, be parents during an incredibly

emotional, disruptive process.

And then at the same time, are kind of being turned into children, you know, in a sense turned into children themselves.
