Turn with me please to Matthew 6, and then I'll read two other verses before I get there,

and this will be efficient.

You're going to Matthew 6, but please put on the screen for us, Philippians 4,6, and then we'll read 1 Peter 5, 7.

These have been our text for some weeks when I've been with you on Friday called No Worries.

No worries.

And in checking my heart, I felt like I wasn't quite done with that.

There's at least another one that we need to do on it. So that's what we're looking at tonight.

Philippians 4-6 says, be careful for nothing. I believe it's the amplified that says don't fret or have any anxiety about anything. But in everything by prayer and

supplication with thanksgiving lest your request be made

known unto God. Did the Lord tell us to not be anxious or

worried about anything.

In 1. Peter 5, he says it like this, 1 Peter 5, 7.

He says, casting all your care upon him, for he cares for you.

Now, the word care is not like the idea of caring about somebody. If you look

it up, the word means anxiety, anxious care, what we'd call worry. Don't be anxious about

anything, the scripture told us.

Then cast all your anxiety and worry on him.

Now this is the same word cast that's used when they cast their garments on the donkey

for him to ride.

Cast.

So if you took a coat off and threw it on the donkey,

that coat's not on you anymore.
