you San Wu from the AAPRP, as well as Asin Gonzalez from the DSA International Committee.

And I'll let each of you introduce yourselves.

But we convene this special episode of the Red Nation podcast to discuss the

crisis in Ukraine and the Russian invasion of Ukraine and what are principled anti-imperialists, anti-colonial, and anti-capitalist

responses to this current crisis?

Because as we know, at the time we're recording, you have the president of Ukraine, President

Zelensky, who's appealing to NATO, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, to essentially

set up a no-fly zone over Ukraine which would amount to an act of war.

And Biden's State Department has admitted as much that that would be an act of war,

but there's so much jingoism going on in the US media right now.

It's hard for many people who don't have expertise in the Ukrainian conflict to really parse out what is being said,

you know, especially that phrase no-fly zone,

there was a Reuters report or poll

that came out yesterday, which was very misleading and very unethical, the way that they had

phrased their questions in that report.

And I believe it was like somewhere between like 70 to 80% of 800 respondents, 800 some respondents said that they

supported a no-fly zone, not knowing that a no-fly zone would actually

put NATO and potentially US warplanes in direct conflict and engagement

with another nuclear power, i.e. Russia.

So this is a very scary time,
