Summary

The final chapter of Daniel Craig's story as James Bond has finally been written and we're honestly pretty relieved. We've mostly enjoyed the journey, and find this movie to be one of the more enjoyable parts of it, but the darker tone of the Craig Bond movies has taken its toll and we're ready for a fresh new look at James Bond. Hello, everybody. Welcome back to another first drone bald movie. That's right. We're back in the theater to see the new James Bond, the final Daniel Craig James Bond, no time to die.

0:11.0

This movie was directed by Corey Foucanaga who we really really enjoyed their work on true detective and I've seen a couple of other things that they've done.

0:20.0

And they consistently make gorgeous, gorgeous cinematic experiences. I don't think this movie is any different. I thought this is a great looking bond. Let's get right to it.

0:32.0

We're going to talk about our non-spoiler thoughts and no time to die. Then we're going to talk about some trailers and then we're going to dismiss the non-patrions slash club members to talk about the spoilers.

0:43.0

But Jim, what did you think about this last installment of the the Craig Dana Craig James Bond series?

0:51.0

This movie, it took what five Craig movies, six Craig movies.

0:58.0

Five. For me to finally realize that I just don't care that much about James Bond movies. This movie is probably good if you're James Bond fan.

1:10.0

I just found it mad. It's not bad. It's definitely like the action is entertaining. I just wasn't super engaged in the story.

1:19.0

And I think that's largely because I don't remember much if anything about previous bonds.

1:28.0

I know there was one Daniel Craig bond where they were out in some like, I don't know, snowy place and then a fucking barn or something or a band of building and then.

1:39.0

Okay, Q had some problems there. I think that's Skyfall. I think that skyfall.

1:43.0

Yeah, that's the one. I remember a couple of those scenes being cool. I there's so little I remember about the other James Bond movies because they're just they just kind of wash right over me and off of me.

1:56.0

So I think one of the problems might be that this is the most serialized bond I've ever seen for sure.

2:03.0

It used to be that you would go and James Bond, you know, every couple of years one would come out and you'd be like, oh, yeah, I recognize John Cleese, they've got cute guy.

2:12.0

I remember Desmond Lewis or whatever the previous and you have this little bit of continuity and everyone's buy a new in would show up and a new money penny would show up.

2:20.0

You get like, oh, right, this Russian gangster, I remember him vaguely having, you know, being a minor villain and now he's having a good time with bond or oh, he's he's sucking up at the CIA agent that's going to you know bust in with a platoon of Marines at the end of the

2:34.0

but there was never like continuity.

2:37.0

No, it's more like a very James Bondy wink and a nod sort of thing, right?

2:41.0

Yeah, like when when James Bond has started to get too old, they'd always have to like, oh, you're too washed up to be doing this bond.

2:47.0

You know, like in every time a bond is about ready to wrap up as run, you'd always have some old James Bond, whether he's still got it or whether he, you know, is a relic of the cold war.

2:56.0

So there's some, but like this is the first bond where like every one of these things is a chapter in a story that kind of requires you to have a good knowledge, good working knowledge of it to get full enjoyment of

3:10.0

it. Unfortunately, I only like about half of the Daniel Craig bond. So I've, I've got a pretty good working knowledge of casino royale because I've seen that couple times.
