Summary

A multiple major winner recently offered another suggestion to solve golf's "distance problem." In this episode, Mark, Lou, and Greg discuss what would happen if tees were banned and wedge loft was limited. Mark gets a little hot here, both about the responsibilities of golf media and about the actual proposal itself. Would Tour pros be able to figure out new ways to optimize their performance under these restrictions? 0:18.4

So why would I have to recognize that?

0:20.6

That doesn't make any sense to me.

0:22.4

Because if that's, you can't force me.

0:24.6

Did you call me Sir Greggie occasionally?

0:26.5

I'd really appreciate it.

0:27.6

We always call Mr.

0:28.7

Greggie.

So in an article written by someone who I guess doesn't care what they say, I don't know.

0:41.7

I guess you could call this reporting, but we'll talk about that because I think there's

0:45.8

only layers to this.

0:46.8

Talking about the ball going too far, Fowdo was saying that basically 10 degrees is the minimum

0:51.3

for the driver loft.

0:52.3

He would like to see no tepegs on. So when courses get over a certain yardage i think he said like not allowed to use tepeg so you got a certain loft driver that's the minimum and then that you um got to put it on the ground and also getting rid of 62 and 60 degree wedges, 56, they should stop at 56 degree wedges.

1:13.6

And I've heard this discussion a few times. I've actually done videos on this.

1:17.4
