I'm going to let to tell you about today.

One of the predictable things about the pandemic but also kind of depressing is that we are

divided again.

The country is divided again.

So 9-11 I remember sitting here in my hometown on Long Island and watching the tragedy and

I used to work tragedy not in a literary sense but it was tragic for the families and people

died not the killers.

They planned it out.

They wanted to murder civilians and children and it's just unbelievable evil.

But I was watching it play out and I knew that it would bring the whole country together

this devastating attack that most Americans, sane people, we come together and say you

know we got to write this wrong and we got to give we got to give solace to the families

and financial help and all that happened.

It all happened and then we became divided again after the Iraq war which didn't work out

the way the government thought it would.

But for a period of there of two or three years a nation was pretty much together.

I remember that very liberal people would come up to me on the street, very famous people

and compliment me on my reporting because then as now we told you the truth about everything

and I was shocked at somehow these far left people I'll give you one name, share, share.

You know call me and was complimentary of my reporting and my campaign to help children
