He's entering his third season in the league. Played his college ball at Texas A&M. He had a team high,

907 rushing yards last year, along with 6 TDs. In fact, he led all NFL running backs in receptions

and receiving yards last year with 78 catches for over 590 yards and six receiving TDs.

Appreciate you. All right, so everybody talks about this time of year, but let me ask you. You were born and raised in Texas. You are used to the summer heat, but is training and working in South Florida when you combine the heat with the humidity? Is that a different animal altogether? there.

Um, what's definitely?

Um, I just think, like, you know, Texas is the hottest place. But once I came out here, it's like, okay, like, I see, like, it get pretty hot out here. All right. So what do you do with that? Like, does that suck the life out of you? Or if you're out there getting your work in, does that cut a toughness groove in your brain? Oh man, I just feel like, man, the more and the more, the more you train into it, I feel like you get used to it, man. I feel like that's just an advantage of us, trading in the heat all day. So once you did it for some of the years, well, this is going to my third year, I feel like I'm kind of got used to it. All right, so you're in your third year, and I mentioned the numbers you put up last year, really big numbers. Your head coach, Mike McDaniel, though, was talking recently about how you've really grown as a leader. You've matured as a leader, and you're so much different than when you first arrived. Do you feel like you're finding your voice from a leadership standpoint, and that other guys are now looking to you and responding to you you like you said um when i when i when you first come as a rookie man you know you're trying to say too much trying to like just you know keep your head down to just you know stand and playbook and just know you know you know be there when your name is called you know and that is my theory i feel like you know I'm more comfortable you know around my teammates you know being around my teammates, you know, being able, you know, to, you know, talk to them and know how to talk to each and every teammate, you know, because everybody's different. So I feel like me coming into the role as a leader, I feel like, you know, my voice, you know, it's when I talk, you know, they listen. Devon A. Chan, joining us. I can appreciate that.

And, you know, you mentioned when you first get there, man, you're just in the playbook. You're in the playbook. Speaking in the playbook, I mean, the way they use you, it's a great scheme for you, I would think. But how incant is your preparation each week knowing that you're going to be used in almost every aspect of that game plan? you gotta be've got to be mixed and fuck. Like you said, man, I'm used not just as a runnyback. You know, sometimes I got a lot of by why. So, you know, for me, it's just, you know, more of like the day of practice. I always trying to get, like, the script, you know, the install the day before, you know, so I can go over and be. and then so when we do offense defense me this is me this is me

we do offense, defense, me this is my second time going over. So, you know, it kind of helps me going off some of the time to probably go out there on the field. So we talk about scheme. What about your head coach, Mike McDaniel? Personally, I'm a big fan of the guy. Like, I like how authentic he is. And honestly, there's just not another cat in the NFL who's a head coach who's quite like that dude.
