0:00.0	The Book of Acts is the book of the continuing Christ. What Christ began in the gospel records,
0:09.6	he continues in the book of Acts. In the first part of Acts, chapters 1 through 7, we joined
0:15.9	the adventures of what the Holy Spirit was doing through the apostles in the early church.
0:21.3	This work was primarily focused in Jerusalem.
0:24.7	The second section of Acts, however, advances beyond Jerusalem to Judea and Samaria.

0:58.5	They may talk about the power of personality or the power of persuasive speech.
1:03.8	There are many types of power, quote unquote, but I want you to know there is no power like gospel power.
1:05.9	Do you remember in Acts chapter 1, verse number 8, when the Lord said that they would have power to preach the gospel,
1:12.6	the power of the Holy Spirit would come upon them.
1:15.0	The word that he used there was the power for dynamite.
1:19.3	The word for dynamite, explosive power.
1:21.9	In other words, it may start small, but when it starts expanding, friends, it's going to make a difference.
1:29.6	It's going to change everything.
1:31.6	I want you to know that's what the gospel does.
1:33.5	It's what it does in hearts.
1:34.8	It's what it does in homes.
1:36.1	It's what it does in communities.
