Hello my friends and welcome back, it's time for you and for me to get our minds aligned

with the truth of God.

And today that truth is that with God there is no partiality, no partiality, no respecter

of people or races or genders.

Let's read in the book of Acts, we are picking up in chapter 10.

In the middle of an account, when Peter the Apostle is learning this lesson for himself, he's

been called to come and meet with a man named Cornelius, who is a Gentile, not a Jew.

So for a Jewish person to go into a Gentile person's house would be considered an unclean

thing in their day, and Peter is called to go to Cornelius's house and to visit with him.

So we're picking up the story right there, it says, this is verse 24 says,

in on the following day they entered Cessaria, Cornelius was expecting them and had called

together his relatives and close friends.

When Peter entered, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshipped him.

But Peter lifted him up saying, stand up, I too am a man.

And as he talked with him, he went in and found many persons gathered.

And he said to them, you yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with,

or to visit anyone of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any person

common or unclean. So when I was sent for, I came without question, I asked them why you sent for me.

And Cornelius said four days ago about this hour I was praying in my house at the ninth hour

and behold a man stood before me in bright clothing and said, Cornelius your prayer has been heard

and your alms have been remembered before God.
