0:14.9	Besides me, there is no God.
0:17.8	I equip you, though you do not know me,
0:24.1	that people may know from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is no other.
0:33.3	Oh, just meditate for a moment on these verses. So there's bookends. Verse five starts by saying,
0:40.3	I am the Lord and there is no other. Verse six ends by saying, I am the Lord and there is no other.
0:48.4	God is making very clear that there is only one true God. He is the Lord. There is no other God, one God who rules
0:58.9	and reigns over all things. And then, so this word is God speaking to Cyrus, who was the ruler of
1:09.1	Persia. He was the king of the Persian Empire.
1:13.1	And God says to him in these verses,
1:16.9	You do not know me, but everything you have comes from me.
1:23.1	And this verse is a clear reminder to all the world, including you and me, that everything that anyone has ultimately comes from God, regardless of whether or not we believe in God or trust in God or worship God.
1:41.1	The reality is, even if you were listening to this right now and you hated God,
1:46.0	the reality is your breath comes from the very one you hate. And not only does God give us
1:55.6	all things that we have, but God is accomplishing his purposes through us whether or not we worship him.
2:04.5	That's verse 6. I equip you, though you do not know me, that people may know from the rising of the
2:11.5	sun and from the west that there is none besides me. So God is glorifying himself and accomplishing his ultimate purposes in the world.
2:24.3	Yes, through people who know him and through people who do not know him. Now there's mystery to how
2:31.2	all of this works because we see all throughout scripture that men and women are
